Moving Host - Soonish
You may have all guessed if you are regular readers of this site that the host for this site NBCI is a bit wonky and often does not pull things up very quickly. Well on top of that little inconvenience I also have the added problem of not being able to get the javascript pop up windows to work on this site either. So things like the help function, the discuss each comments and other bits and pieces will not work.
Quite a while ago (a few months infact) I purcahsed the domain name Superdrewby.com and have been meaning to properly host this site so it all works. I am also working on banners, icons and other cool stuff to help people link to the site!
Finally I have pulled my finger out and am now down to two hosting companies to host the site. both of these will cost me money so I will have to work out a way to make some money from this site through advertising etc. I wil work it out in due course but rest assured that I will never charge access or anything like that. I might just ask peolpe to click on paid links so I can recoup the cost of the sever. Anyway will work that out later.
But stay with me till I sort it all out!

New Story - The Boy in the Armour
I have been planning a number of new stories to write for a while now. I have so many ideas that go through my head sometimes, I am suprised that I can still walk and talk! But, I have made a real start on the totally new story, The Boy in the Armour.
This story is quite a change from some of my previous stories as it will have - read my lips - no sex scenes in it like other things that I have written. the story is about david, a openly gay teenager growing up in a small town on the coast of Cornwall UK. David is a real history buff and has a fascination with ancient English history fuelled by the history of his own are that includes references to the legends of King Arthur, Merlin the Magician and many more mythical / historical events.
The story is pure fantasy about David's exploits with the future and the past, but really it focuses on the mystical Boy in the armour that he feels he has always known and is so comfortable with.
So sit down kick your shoes off and have a read!

John Ashcroft the Proposed US Attorney General
This Saturday will be a black mark for the civil rights movements of the Us and parts of the world that follow their lead. George Bush Junior will become the next president and infect the country with his own special style of beliefs and mis conceptions. While there is nothing that can now be done to stop the inevitable there are still fights that must be won. One of these is the fight to stop John Ashcroft from becoming the new US Attorney General.
Ashcroft is a right wing ex governor and senator of Missouri where he has consisitently voted and showed favoritism towards the extreme right wing and in particular the extermist veiws of the religous right. His views include:

• Anti Gay - He believe they should not be employed by the public sector, and should be made to be punished for their ways
  
• Anti Abortion - In fact he and Bush will seek to overturn the right for women to seek abortions under any circumstance
  
• Minority Groups - he believes that the blacks were better off under slavery
  
• Anti Hate Crime - he has voted against the hate crime legislation
  
• Pro Guns - His political campaigns have been funded in the past by the NRA and other pro gun organisation
  
• Anti Women - He has consisitenly used blocking and diversionary tactics to prevent women from gaining prominent positions.
  

This is not nust an issue for America but for people all over the world. If America follows this pathway other counbtries will consider it ok to do so as well. America's human rights record is not good and under John Ashcroft it could only get worse. After all if yoou were hiring a new employee to look after animals do you hire somone who hates them and wants to kill them? Phew Welcome 2001!
It's almost too much to believe that 2001 has arfrived and so soon. I remember the begginning of 2000 so well and that only feels like it was yesterday, where on earth is time going? I have reached the conslusion that as you get older the time actually goes faster, maybe its proportional to age and inverersely proportional to youth?

So what did I get up to over the last month of inactivty on this site? Well it really isn't inactivty actually the entire site is being redesigned and I am looking for a web hosting company to put the new site on under the proper domain name of superdrewby.com. I still have a long way to go to finish the cding, in particular the memebship section. Initially I will just make the membership very rudimentary offerig a page listing all the members and whether they are online or not. Eventually though members will be able to properly log in to the site and gain access to things that non members can't.

So stay tuned for that one. I have also finally staretd to rollerblade something i have been wanting to try for an awful long time and I finally have! I can stay up but have trouble stopping but I will get there!
