Strange Site of the day

Instead of stamp collecting, this guy collects people's lost luggage from airline auctions.

Then he photographs the contents and publishes them on his website.

Weird but strangely enticing!

What is it with people we meet doing porn?

Of late we seemed to have met a whole lot of new people at parties and through other friends.

I love meeting new people even if I haven't really had a lot of time to actually follow up with making more than a party chat with work taking so much of my time up.

I am amazed by the amount of guys who have done or are doing porn.

I can count more than 5 this year alone!
* and yes we know one of the boys in the picture above...

I asked a friend about this and they suggested that it's just the people we are meeting.

I have a totally different perspective on this though.

Almost all of these guys are in their early twenties are are all Gen Y, they have grown up with the web and sites like xtube, gaydar, dudesnude etc where posting totally naked pictures and videos of yourself is totally normal.

Is there really a difference between getting your kit off on adating website or video sharing site like xtube and appearing in paid for 'amateur gay porn'?

Personally I just couldn't do it, but I'm the oldy who has never actually had a naked picture of myself, I am just to squeamish for it.

But if you are going to get your kit off you may as well get paid for it I suppose.

What do other people think about this?

Would you do porn?

Do you have naked pictures of yourself online even if they are 'private pictures'.

It's not for me but I do think that the whole concept of privacy and body modesty is slightly outdated in today's society.

I definitely have an exhibitionist streak in me - all my friends know that so I am certainly not prudish, I am more curious...

Miss California and the Gay Marriage Debate

Unless you have been living under a rock you would have heard, seen or read about the Miss California response to Perez Hilton's question on Gay Marriage.

I like many other people find this rather amusing.

Yes I agree with Perez that she is a 'dumb bitch' and should have been far more diplomatic in her answer.

Gay Marriage is a contentious issue, and her response was plain and simple bigoted and showed that she does not represent contemporary American society.

More and more studies are finding that society is coming around to the concept of same sex equality.

Could you imagine if the question asked was instead:

Do you think that black people should have the vote?

Her response would have been of course, that's just ridiculous.

But years ago in America people used religion as a way to stop Black people from voting.

Australia like America is supposedly a secular country, and marriage is a legal definition not a religious definition. It's simple that marriage equality is a civil legal right, not a religious issue.

I was really saddened to read Shannon's post on Gay Marriage, as I was surprised that a young gay man in today's society would not support the equality of recognising same sex relationships.

By for the biggest hurdle that there seems to be in getting the equality is the linkage between marriage and religion.

There is no legal link full stop.

Marriage is pure and simple a legal contract between two people, there are both secular and non secular ceremonies that people undertake, but this does not marry them.

The legal marriage is not conducted until the couple signs a marriage contract which is a legally binding contract.

Personally I think that the hoopla surrounding the Miss California answer is fantastic, and her protestations that she lost because of that awful homosexual asking an unfair question is quite plainly fanciful.

She lost because her answer was a bad answer of a contentious and potentially divisive issue.

She is entitled to her own beliefs, but she should have toned down her Bible Thumping is she wanted to win.

Artwork in Progress

Late last year I commissioned an artist Rodney Love who had previously done a fantastic Pop Art Panel Piece for me to update the work with 6 new panels that were slightly less racy.

The original piece whcih I love is just a bit too confronting for the lounge room and has caused parents to wlmost choke on their drinks as they read some of the panels.

So in consultation with the boy and Rodney we aksed for six new panels which we will replace in the existing artwork.

The more racy ones will be framed and put upstairs in one of the bedrooms where it is less likely to upset the oldies.

Rodney sent me a image this morning of the new panels in progress. He is doing ten so I can choose six from - I am VERY excited to see them!

Short Week

It's a short week thank goodness and I am not really in the mood for work at all, I need a break, but hey we don't always get what we want!

On a nice note though I love this time of year in the early morning.

The mornings are cool but not cold and in Sydney over the harbour we have a lot of fog that settles in and gently swirls around.

It's just beautiful and it makes me feel so safe and content - who knows why!

We had a madly busy weekend, going to parties, clubs, recovery parties and even throwing a tiny impromptu spa party on our roof on Saturday.

I think this week will most likely be a bit of a struggle, but the fun we had all week is well worth it!

So here's to a great week.

Oh and the change over to this site should happen this week, I just need to get some time to redesign the template for the blog and change over the old site template.

*note I didn't take the image - it's a stock image.

Old Knox Boy musings

So another teacher has been arrested from my old school for child sex abuse.

This one was certainly not a surprise to me, in fact he left under rather dubious circumstances where he was there one day and gone the next.

I have some serious dislike for my old school and the headmaster and a number of the teachers. I was bullied ever since I could remember and the school tacitly approved of the bully.

The school motto:

Virile Agiture or 'Act Like a Man' was ingrained upon the Psyche of the school and was often translated as treat boys tough to make them into tough men. This flowed down to the actions of the school.

For example in our student handbook it simply stated 'bully is not allowed', yet with the tacit approval of the Headmaster and some teachers my 'differences' and obvious sexuality was picked on and ridiculed.

When my parents complained time and time again that I would come home from school with bruises the school held a parent teacher conference, where they were essentially told I was bringing it upon myself by being 'different' and standing out from the crowd.

Nothing was done to actually address the issue and it was ingrained in us that Homosexuality was wrong and abnormal.

With so many teachers now under arrest from the school, the question as to whether the school new about the abuse and covered it up is now extremely relevant.

The Headmaster at the time must have had some inkling of this going on, and I am sure that there were indications.

Did the school know and simply cover it up?

And quite frankly if they didn't know they damn well should have!

As much as I hated the School and some of the teachers, I also had some of the most caring and wonderful teachers too.

A couple of teachers went above and beyond the call of duty and stood up for me and my 'differences'. In fact there are three teachers for whom I will be eternally grateful because they made my time at school bearable and went wading into the fight for me against common homophobia by the students and the school.

There was also a whole pocket of gay teachers at the school, who were not open about their sexuality with the students for obvious reasons. But they made it tacitly known to me and other students like me that being gay was OK.

For me and my experiences growing up I was luckier than most because I had a rich social life outside of the school and many of the people outside school were Gay or Gay friendly.

I am sure that this current teacher will not be the last to be arrested, and I am hoping that there is a proper and independent enquiry into the school to find out just much the school knew and what actions they took.

Anti-Gay TV Advertisement

With the wins in Vermont and Iowa this week legalising Same Sex Marriage one of the Anti Gay groups in the states is launching a bigoted attack on Same Sex Marriage.

At the heart of this attack is a dishonest statement that people's freedoms are being eroded by the recognition of same sex marriage.

It's a crock of shit quite frankly.

These people are seriously disturbed and I can see in twenty years time when same sex marriage is the norm that the people in these ads will be remembered as the 'white supremacists' of their day.

Watch the advert yourself and tell me what you think.

WOW!

Vermont is the first state in the US to legislatively approve Gay Marriage!

Wow

even with the Governors Veto the bill was resent to the houses and passed!

Congratulations Vermont!

It's the beginning of the landslide, Same Sex Marriage IS an inalienable civil right.

Badly Torn

I am badly torn at the moment.

There is a rescue beagle at an animal shelter in Sydney that desperately needs a home.

He is somewhere between 1 - 2 years old, has no microchip and if he does not get a home in the next 24 hours will be euthanized.

I am desperately torn by this, on the one hand I would love another beagle friend for Lucy our beagle, and there is this small rather cute beagle that needs to be rescued from death row.

But there are so many reasons why we can't.

Logistically it would be difficult as we have a two seater car.

There is the question as to how Lucy would cope with a 1 or 2 year old dog coming into her house.

Because it's a rescue dog we have no real idea of what the temperament of the dog is like.

I am so torn by this and have been tossing and turning all damn night.

There are so many reasons not to but there is just one big reason to do.

AAAAAAAArgh!

Changes to the site and blog

I have been seriously considering changing the way this site works.

It has been such a long time since I actually added content to the site other than this blog (in fact almost two years).

The site was started so many years ago the purpose of the site is almost non existent or at least my motivation for doing so is at an end really.

What I am planning to do is to transfer the blog and make it the focus of the site.

I will also have the site redesigned so it really is just my blog.

All the content will stay where it is, because there are thousands of pages all listed on the search engines.

I will close the members section as it has no really had any use in years and years and I will no longer accept any new stories etc.

When I started Superdrewby there were literally no websites for gay youth, and online dating was in it's absolute infancy.

But over the last ten years so many millions of websites have sprung up that have taken it's place.

So Superdrewby will just become my personal blog which is what the site has become anyway.

It will take me a few weeks to make all the changes and then I will have to get people to update their links to the blog.

In some ways it will be sad to see it go from it's current form, but websites are not supposed to stay languishing and should change and adapt t the times.

So this is it the final few weeks of Superdrewby.com in it's current form.

Work Free Weekend

For the first weekend in a while I did little to no work.

I decided that after my epic start to the year I would do no work for the weekend.

F*** it was difficult!

I started by watching some cable TV, but there is only so much you can watch before your mind turns to mush.

I read some books, but all I have in the pile of unread books are business related books LOL and they were making me 'think' of things I could do for work so I stopped.

I walked the dog multiple times, I went to the gym and went to out to brunch / lunch drinks etc.

Problem is I enjoy working LOL!

This week is going to be good, have lots to do and lots to achieve.

After my post on setting goals a week or so back, I have set my goals for the business and started to reset my goals too.

There are some specific financial targets in place now for the business and staff have been told and motivated by being offered cash bonuses if we meet our targets.

And you know?

The old adage of unless you have a destination in mind you will be aimless and bored is true, I feel great!

Getting Up Early

For the last several weeks my body clock has been sending me to bed early and getting up early, way before the sun rises in fact.

My body clock is exceptionally strong and I will wake at the same time day after day, regardless of what time it is. If I want to change my body clock literally the only way is to stay up all night and day and reset it entirely.

The upside of getting up so early in the morning is I get to the office very early and get a couple of hours solid work done before anyone else comes in.

It's also really nice to look out the window and watch the day grow from pitch black to light.

Recent Blog Find

A few weeks back I went on a blog rolling rampage and deleted a whole lot of links that were no longer active or had disappeared into the ether.
In addition to deleting links I found a new blog Shannons Official Blog and have instantly fallen in love with it!
Shannon is another cute Sydney boy who has a penchance for Speedos and speedo related exhibitionism.
His blog is upbeat, fun and you can feel the cheekiness exuding from his writing and images.
Have a look at his blog:
