The fitness update

For the last 6 or 7 weeks I have been in stage two of my fitness plan.

This has been rather different than the first six weeks where I almost killed myself doing cardio (and probably more cardio than I should have).

I have still done cardio but not nearly at the level I had done before.

We also (my trainer and I ) suggested that I eat much much more and take large amounts of extra protein and creatine.

I have been taking:

Every Morning 25 grams Waxy Maize and 15gms Creatine
Mid Morning Protein Bar
Afternoon 45gms of Protein Shake
2 hours before working out 15gms creatine and 25 gms Waxy Maize
after workout 45gms protein and 50 gms waxy maize

And every lunch time a white rice and chicken stir fry

You would think I would get fat on all of this in addition to dinner and other snacks, but no.

I have lost 2kgs of fat and gained just over 2kgs of lean muscle!

I am now down to 14% body fat!

Moving forward I will continue with these but I will also pull some Tribulis in the mix to try and increase the muscle gain.

The problem is tomorrow I go away on holidays for two weeks, so no creatine and I will have to substitute a protein shakes for protein bars and no waxy maize!

And I will not be working out at any intensity most likely.

It was suggested that I try to do one all over body workout a week and at least 3 20 minute interval training cardio sessions a week to maintain what I have and to stop any extra spread from holiday food.

All during this last six weeks I have been worried that I would get fat eating so much, but it's amazing that in fact I have got lean and lost muscle!

Well as Jarrod from the DXA scan said the next issue I have to do is increase both my weight and lean muscle.

He also indicated that it was likely that I was nearing the end of natural fat loss now and the real next step is mainly lean muscle growth.

I am happy with the results this far let's just keep going!

And I have to say the use of the DXA scan which shows exactly just what is and is not working is fantastic! Without the scan I would have assumed I was losing weight not gaining muscle and losing fat!

WOW!

GL Rights Lobby sent a message to the members of 58 '08 - Demand Equality in 2008.
--------------------
Subject: HISTORIC SAME-SEX REFORMS PASS SENATE

The Gay & Lesbian Rights Lobby (GLRL) today welcomed the passage of the Same-Sex Relationships (Equal Treatment in Commonwealth Laws – General Law Reform) Bill 2008 (Cth) through the Australian Senate. Following on the heels of the superannuation and family law changes already passed, the General Law Reform Bill consolidates the omnibus same-sex reforms granting same-sex de facto couples and their children equality in all significant federal laws.

"Today is an historic day. The Australian Senate has finally and firmly given its nod to equality for our relationships and families. Our partners and our children can look forward to equality in almost all areas of federal law, from taxation to health and aged care, from immigration to family law", said GLRL spokesperson, Peter Johnson.

"Same-sex couples and families are witnessing the tearing up and rewriting of almost all Commonwealth law to finally recognise the truth that all love is equal and nurturing all relationships, regardless of the gender of partners, is important."

The Bill rewrites legal definitions of ‘couple’, ‘partner’, ‘parent’, ‘child’ and ‘family’ to include all couples and their children. The changes will grant equal access to entitlements and benefits in federal laws relating to taxation, superannuation, Medicare and health entitlements, social security, veterans’ and defence benefits, migration and workers’ compensation.

"We congratulate the Rudd Government for honouring its election commitment to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Australians. We acknowledge the Coalition, Greens and Senator Xenophon whose principled and practical support helped ensure the passage of these reforms through the Senate," added Johnson.

Three more days

Three more days of extreme work and stress to go....

One project basically complete just waiting for one of tho staff to do their bit.

One exciting project waiting for the client to finish their bit

One project in a mess and needing a long long long conversation with the client to translate their very confused mutterings into a well designed database.

And then of course all the other shit that has to be done before I can attempt to take some holidays

OMG there is so much to do!

Scott English Lads

Scott’s video must be one of the most eagerly awaited since James got fucked! This str8 hunk from north London begins the shoot a little shy, stripping down to his boxers and pulling out a well formed semi he is just so proud! Well who wouldn’t be with that dangling between your legs! Scott shows off his thick and long piece of meet, revealing his ass and body that is lightly hairy in all the right places. By the time he is mid way through Scott is intrigued looking at the camera and look at him close to his cum shot, I think he is wanking to his own video! A video destined to drain many balls dry!

Churches should lose their Tax Free Status

The hundreds of millions of dollars poured into the Anti-Gay Proposition 8 by the Catholic and Mormon Churches highlights the need for a change in policy.

Not just in the USA but throughout the world.

I am totally against Churches having tax free status to begin with, but when they use this money for political purposes this is the last straw.

Apparently it was the Mormon Churches extra millions of dollars that tipped the vote in favour of Proposition 8.

It's high time the Churches were taxed and viewed upon as the business they are.

Wife's iPhone plea as hubby emails raunchy pictures to lover

A US woman has discovered her husband using his iPhone to send raunchy pictures of his genitals to a lover, which he tried to explain was caused by an Apple bug.

The embarrassing high-tech domestic dispute quickly became public after the woman, Susan, made a post on Apple's discussion board for iPhone technical support.

Is this the start of a revolution

There is so much anger and protest since California voted to ban Gay Marriage in approving Proposition 8.

Huge consistent protests have been held all though the USA protesting against the taking away of equality.

Is this the start of a revolution that will grow and grow?

Or will we all just get bored and find something else to do with our time?

Only time will tell.

But I am very much enjoying the actual demonstrations and simple civil disobedience.

Mixed Feelings

A few weeks ago my sister rang me one morning to tell me some news.

The house we grew up in was on fire. One of our old neighbors had rang my mother to tell me that there was smoke pouring out of the house and the fire brigade were just arriving.

My parents sold the house more than nine years ago, and I have not lived there since I was about 19.

Even so I I was still rather sad that the place was on fire.

Then over the weekend on the way back from the Hunter valley, the boy and I popped by to see the damage.

The house is pretty much a write off and will need to be demolished from the looks of things.

There was nothing left inside the house when we went by and you could see in every room there was smoke and fire damage.

It's sad really even though I don't live there and haven't lived there in years a small part fo my past will no longer exist!

I grew up in that house, I learnt to walk in the house, I kisssed my first boy there (and my first girl too).

I even told my parents I was gay in the room that is burnt the most.

Goodbye old house :(

It's Monday Morning

Every week Monday morning seems to creep up on me.

I look back at the week and just wonder where the hell the weekend went and more importantly just how much workload is there to get done during this week.

I have been pretty silent on my fitness programs of late, mainly because as my workload increases I have had less time to do things like Blog.

Rest assured I am still on my fitness push and I have my next DXA scan in about two and a bit weeks.

Though this time round I have added in Creatine, Waxy Maize and lots of protein to the food intake mix which will hopefully mean that I have put on a lot more muscle mass than before.

AND I have been eating more in general.

My last training session with the trainer has left my poor legs feeling so sore on Saturday and Sunday I could hardly get in and out of the car.

But that's the reason I pay him, to push me to really make inroads into my fitness.

It's now only two a half weeks till we go away on holidays and I am starting to feel the extreme pressure now. Only two and half weeks to finish not just the work I have on now which is a tough call anyway.

To getting all the new media and marketing campaigns all up and running as well.

I really need a 'partner' in the business I have decided, it's really the only solution moving forward I think. I need someone who will have as much passion and energy as I do about the business. But also someone who I can work on a strategy together and then they can move forward with the strategy.

Anyway It's almost 8 am and I should be showering, shaving and out the door!

Choose the Battles you can win

In a recent speech by the Leader of the Opposition Malcolm Turnbull to right wing religious groups in Canberra, Turnbull reiterated his support for both Abortion and the recognition of same sex relationships

source

This is essentially the same belief that Rudd has, Marriage is NO NO for same sex couples but full legal recognition is.

Now I have always been of the belief that we should fight or what we can achieve but I am starting to think maybe we should be aiming higher.

In the 1960's int he USA there was huge debate amongst the most gifted scientists and engineers in the world. They WERE rocket scientists and the argument was how do we put a man on the moon.

One group led by Werner Von Braun the gifted German Scientist thought they should build an orbiting 'space station' where craft could be launched from to Moon and beyond. It was audacious and long sighted.

The other group believed that the moon was the end goal and so they wanted to build a massive rocket that gradually shed itself to get to the moon and then by the time the Astronauts returned to the Earth they were in the tiniest part of the craft.

40 some years later with great hindsight we now look back on the 1960's space program and realised that in fact the path and goals chosen were limited.

Werner Von Braun was right when he said if they only aim for the moon they will only ever get the moon and the rest will be forgotten or simply not achieved.

My question is what do we actually want in terms of equality?

Marriage to me is still a religious statement, but without 'marriage' are our relationships equal?

And if we can move forward in the next few years with getting 'equality in legal status' what do we need to push for?

What is our message to be crafted to the public?

There are so many questions to be asked and so much still to be decided!

Bittersweet

With all great things comes bad things, or so balance in life suggests.

With Obama being elected and the Democrats resoundingly trouncing the Republicans there has been some loss.

Proposition 8 was approved in California, banning Gay Marriage as it was in other states and in Arkansas it was made illegal for couples not married to adopt or foster children.

It shows that in America the colour of your skin is of less importance than who someone falls in love with.

You know I had hoped that at least in California Proposition 8 would have been defeated, but not even in California the most progressive state of the country still voted to confirm that marriage is between one man and one women.

Obviously the Democrats are friendlier to gay rights but do we know how more friendly?

For example at some stage the boy and I would like to work in the States, the boy works for a US company now and moving internally would be relatively a smaller issue. However for me to get a green card I would need to be sponsored by a company and that's a far more difficult issue.

There has been talk however of the Democrats recognising same sex partners of people moving the states for long term work.

But let's see what happens.

But forget about the personal issue, where does this leave gay rights in America or the world?

In Australia we are getting 'equal rights' in terms of having our relationships recognised but no civil unions etc.

What do we want? What do we NEED?

I am looking forward to seeing the biography on Harvey Milk soon, maybe this will help inspire us into pushing for change and pushing for all the equality issues.

The cute pic is Brent Corrigan from his blog campaigning to repeal Proposition 8.

Will Obama be Victorious

I think the GFC (Global Financial Crisis) has pretty much been put it the back of the media's collective thoughts this week as the American Election is finally near.

Personally I am amazed that it's already November, where the crap has this year gone?

But anyway, even with the polls all showing a landslide for Obama I am still sceptical of a decisive win.

One thing I will say is if Obama does win I am sure that there will be all sorts of legal challenges to any tenuous thing the Republicans can think of. Let's face it 2000 was a legal victory NOT a moral win by Bush.

I suppose like the rest of the world I will wait and see what happens on Wednesday Australian time as the votes start rolling in.

And I am curious if you are not an American who would you vote for and why?
