Mark Kraynak
Last week was three years since the porn model Mark Kraynak and Steve Wright died in a freak accident (falling into a quarry at night while fleeing from a paying a Taxi driver).
Mark did plenty of jerk off porn and some straight porn for gay eyes. He was a damn hot guy and it just goes to show that skipping off on your taxi fares will come back and bite you on the ass!

So I have decided to do it...
I will keep my name of Superdrewby, after all I have had it for so long it does feel like it is part of me.
However what bent to write I have not yet decided, I feel I want to write about stuff that gets me going, you know like the decline of the Gay Scene, the lack of excitement around Oxford Street, the de ghetto isation of the predominantly gay areas and my extreme love affair with chocolate.
Of which I have had no chocolate for a while, unless you count the Aussie Bodies Protein FX Caramel Fudge Bars I have.
But do they count as chocolate when they are actually healthy protein loaded workout snacks to help build my body back up to it's goldenness?
You tell me?
But anyway I am sure all in good time I will decide what is on my mind and start ranting and raving in my normal fashion.
Interesting Question
I was approached today by a Gay Publishing group to see if I would blog for them either under a non de plum or my own Superdrewby mantle.
At first I was flattered but was adamantly against it, however after some reflection I am thinking that maybe it could be fun. I don't know really what to think.
Suggestions? Comments?
Working Out again
For the last several weeks I have been seriously back at the gym. Having a trainer is fantastic although when I am not being trained by him and I see him around at the gym I feel a tad worried that he's going to look over at my lack of form and shake his head.
But that aside I have been consistently getting to the gym when I am supposed to.
After Gold's Gym closed in Darlinghurst a while back I couldn't decide whether I wanted to join Fuck me First (Fitness First) or City Gym.
But since the boy joined City Gym and the trainer doesn't do FF it was an obvious choice to join City Gym in the end.
My only complaint about City Gym is that it is often packed to the rafters and I can't get on machines when I want to or sometimes at all!
Last bight the cable cross overs where being used for half an hour by two different groups of people and I couldn't even work in!
How Rude.
The actual workouts my trainer have given me at first looked easy, although once I get into them they are brutal!
The concentration and effort required are enormous, but nothing compared to the muscle fatigue and soreness for the following three to four days.
Some days I can hardly type and keep my arms on the desk my arms have been so well worked out.
It's all good and I have set myself a goal of dropping at least 2% body fat by the end of September and staying about the same weight.
Whether this is achievable I don't know until I chat with my trainer, but in real terms it's a loss of 1.4 kgs of fat and a gain of 1.4% lean muscle.
But either way Sleaze ball is the first weekend in October and I want to have changed my body shape for this, and then again for my holiday overseas in late November and obviously for Summer!
So there we have some goals...

Oxford Street is a Homophobia free zone?
I simply don't understand how the simple act of declaring Oxford street a Homophobia free zone is going to achieve the goal of solving the violence issues in the area.
And what's more I am flabbergasted by the bigotry of people who think this is 'anti-heterosexual'.
We live almost on Oxford Street physically I mean, not in the sense of being out all the time. In fact we rarely go out to any of the clubs on Oxford Street. We hardly go out in that sense at all.
But I love Oxford street, for over 18 years it has been somewhere I look to as a sort of home. But over the last five to ten years the strip has become dirty, run down and very scary.
I can understand the intention of declaring it a homophobia free zone, but it ain't going to work.
I have had abuse hurled at me for years by people on Oxford street or just going by in their cars. It was pretty common back in the 90s to have idiots drive down the strip shouting ant gay bullshit out of their car on a Saturday night.
It was amusing when the lights changed and all of a sudden they had 50 poofters all converge on their car and surround them.
I have even been verbally abused by a staff member of one of the restaurants in my very own building. And trust me that was a very very very stupid thing to do when I control the Owners Corporation. - The restaurant no longer exists funnily enough :)
But back to the issue at hand, I was overjoyed when the Council rejected The Gaff's application to expand and was even happier when they rejected DCM's application to extend their hours.
The reason why?
Because I don't feel safe going near either venue at night. The patrons are drunk, they fight, they throw bottles, they throw up in the the streets and they are simply revolting.
And let's face it they hurl and shout homophobic abuse at the ' poofters' as they walk by to the gay clubs.
In response to having their extended hours application rejected, DCM has closed shop and moved up the road right next to Stonewall hotel..
That's just a great move!
Put alcohol fulled homophobes next to a club that attracts young gay guys.
As horrible as it sounds the first time a gay boy gets beaten up outside Stonewall by a Havana Club / DCM patron it will galvanise the community as a whole to address the issue. And unfortunately it's going to happen at some stage.
So declaring a homophobia free zone is not the answer and I'm not sure that increased policing is the answer either.
I think what is the answer is for the council to limit the number of clubs and fast food joints that are opening up and instead try to attract more restaurants and encourage the small wine bar / lounge venues.
The council has been doing allot to address the issue like rejecting applications from problem venues.
Let's face it the problems of violence on and around Oxford street stem from a couple of venues, DCM, Havana Club, The Courthouse Hotel, The Gaff and T2 (which has also had it's opening hours cut).
Is it coincidence that all these venues are straight?
The mixed venues seem to either have less violence issues like The Oxford and Colombian hotels because they are mixed venues and they are better managed.
It doesn't matter whether the club is straight or Gay we can and should coexist together on Oxford street but it should not be at the expense of people's safety.
Nor should it be at the exclusion of one over the other.
BUT if one group is violent of not accepting of the other then they should have the sanctions bought against them.

Bailey
Our str8 hunk Bailey is back for some ball playing in the sun and once he has got all hot and sweaty he comes inside to strip down to his boxers and looking at the bulge in his boxers there are not going to be many soft shots today! He has one of those switches, and it doesn’t seem to have an off position, since the second he touches it his meat grows to an instant semi! Luckily our footballer is not shy and relishes in the idea men will be looking at him, he is even proud of showing off his hole and lift his legs up high for some real close ups! After some energetic wanking he lies down and shoots his mess all over his abs.

Trip down Memory Lane
I went on a trip down memory lane today, well I went Google Street Viewing around the streets and house tnat I grew up in.
You know it almost looks the same as I remember but there are many things that are different too. For one the pcitures were taken last December and subsequently all the gardens looked parched and dry.
Not at all like the green lush vegetation that I remember as a child.
Before the water restrictions every garden in the street would have their sprinklers on all through summer and the lawns and gardens were green lush oasis's .
Times have changed!

My Body
As an important component of my new training regime, my trainer recommended that I get a DXA body scan, which is the absolute gold standard in measuring body fat and overall body composition.
The boy has his done about two months ago and I had mine done today.
Anything medical does my head in and going to a medical practice was anxiety ridden for me but well worth the anxiety and time!
You can cut and dice it anyway you want but knowing the EXACT details are a good thing.
So my body fat is 18.2% and my weight is 71.7 Kgs, apparently both are actually in the good range, although I have been advised to gain between 2.5 - 5kgs of lean muscle and overall get to about 75Kgs of weight.
Now before I went I estimated based on the 'pinch' test and the way I looked and felt that I was somewhere between 16 - 19% body fat.
So I have the start of a new program, I know where I am in terms of my body, now I need to set some goals with my trainer and then in about 6- 8 weeks I need to go back and have another one of the scans to see how my body is responding.
You know the most interesting thing is that I feel my tummy is really fat, but according to the scan my tummy fat is well within the optimum, doesn't that say something about my 'ideal' body shape!
Some really interesting facts about my body are:
Resting Metabolic Rate: 1767 kcal/day
Calorie Intake for weight maintenance 2430 kcal/day
Calorie intake for muscle gain 2200 kcal/day
all that means is that to just keep my body shape and put on no weight I shoudl only be eating about 1767 calories a day! My god I would almost die of starvation I think!

Gay man accused of kidnapping children fights back
David Bell, the Salt Lake man was attacked by his neighbours for allegedly kidnapping their children, has launched a publicity campaign to "tell the other side of the story."
Mr Bell, 30, was beaten by between three and five of his neighbours at his home on 4th July.
The neighbours claim that Mr. Bell kidnapped two children aged two and four years from their house, who were later found in his bedroom.
Mr. Bell's family say that he took the children to his house when they could not sleep at their own due to a loud party, at which he had been present.
There has been no charge for the neighbours who attacked him in what Mr Bell's lawyer claims was a homophobic hate crime.
Mr Bell is due to attend a preliminary hearing tomorrow where he will be charged with burglary and kidnapping.
A protest is planned to take place before the hearing.
In the meantime, Mr Bell and his partner Dan Fair, who was also attacked, have set up a website to promote their side of the case.
Mr Fair and Mr Bell plan to hold an event on 25th August at the Tavernacle Social Club, Salt Lake City, in order to raise money for their legal and medical expenses, as well as to "share what happened on 4th July."

Politically Aligned Gays
With all the media attention about the co-founder of ManHunt donating money to McCain's Presidential campaign it really got me interested.
Now it turns out that the McCain Campaign has returned the money back saying they don;t want it.
Now there are a few important points that I want to highlight here:
It's OK to be gay and republican but only if you don't run a gay business?
Or
Republicans don't don;t want money from gays?
It's everyones own inalienable right to choose who they support politically, of course you can choose to support someone who considers your 'lifestyle' to be abhorrent and unnatural.
That's your choice!
You know what?
It's even all the Manhunt members who do not support McCain's choice to cancel their memberships and ask for refunds. In fact so many of their members did the guy had to resign from the board.
But he still makes money from the company.
Personally I don't have a Manhunt profile but if I did I would cancel it in protest, because I don't want to be directly or indirectly supporting someone for a position of great power who believes I am a second class citizen.
I do so love the fallout from this, apparently the guy has had a TOTAL change of heart and since he got rejected by McCain he is now an Obama boy!

Do I really want to work?
It's Tuesday morning 7:15 am and I have a huge day ahead of me in training a client on an application we have written for them.
I just couldn't be bothered really.
I am so seriously lacking motivation at the moment or maybe it's just I need a good solid holiday or rest.
Or maybe I just need some new fresh goals!
My new workout was emailed to me last night by my trainer, I am kind of unsure what the program is supposed to be done in!
If I read this right I am supposed to do five workouts a week including two 40 minute cardio sessions?
Sheesh I didn't think I was that fat!
But if that's what he wants me to do I may as well put some energy and time into it.
I keep on meaning to take some pictures without my shirt on of the current state my body has dropped into. But after the comment the other day by a friend Heath that Gaydar is now filling up with pictures taken in mirrors with their iPhones showing I am kind of weirded out by taking a picture with my iPhone!
Anyway I should pull my finger out and get to the office so I can drop the puppy off and then get to the client's office.
All I can say is Good Riddance
Club loses 24-hour trading
AN OXFORD Street nightclub allegedly patronised by bikie gangs has been refused a 24-hour trading licence after evidence it had insufficient security and was dangerously overcrowded.
UN Sydney on Oxford Street, formerly known as DCM, lost an appeal at the Land and Environment Court to have a 24-hour trading approval for Friday and Saturday nights extended due to continuing non-compliance issues, including a lack of concern for patron safety and noise complaints from residents.
The nightclub announced recently it was relocating temporarily to nearby premises on Oxford Street while soundproofing and renovations took place.
Police cited overcrowding and a fire exit obstructed by garbage when they opposed the application for the trading hour extension, which ended last year.
An affidavit from Sergeant Peter Mort stated that on one occasion police counted more than 800 people above the official figure of 178 recorded by security guards. During another inspection, it was found that a security guard was unlicenced.
Commissioner Jan Murrell said the club had not "consistently demonstrated a commitment to concern for patrons" in her decision not to grant an extension of the trial first granted in July 2006.
"In particular, the non-compliance with the requirement of the rear fire emergency exit and stairs to be clear of obstructions in the event of the need for evacuation in an emergency," the judgment read.
"Potentially endangering lives cannot be tolerated."
The trial period, which allowed the club to trade for 24 hours on weekends rather than close at midnight, ended in July last year. This was a month after police put the venue on a bikie illegal activity watch list and two months after three men were shot outside the club.

No suits allowed
This article in the SMH talking about exlusive members only clubs in the UK made me laugh.
Apparently for many of the new uber cool clubs 'bankers' or people who wear suits are not invited to join.
They interviewed a few 24 year old 'bankers' who were mystified why they with their big pay packets were not allowed to join the club.
And apparently the 'banker' in question said he wouldn't really want to join because he wasn't cool enough to talk to anyone!
He really put his foot in it when he said that they clubs were interested in arts not money, OMG how clueless do you have to be?
Money does not equal style or cool!
It's fantastic it really is, to be cool you have to stop thinking about being cool and just have your own style!
The reason why these clubs deny entry is because the London banking jobs expect their employees to behave, dress and think in a certain way.
By the same token though the clubs themselves are encouraging sameness, to the point that one has a Damien Hirst in the foyer.
Now if that isn't main stream culture accepting what was once fringe art I don't know what is!
As Oscar Wilde once famously said "I wouldn't want to be a member of any club that wanted me as their member".
BTW the picture is a Damien Hirst installation of a Sheep in Formaldehyde, hideous but strangely enticing!

Alive and Kicking
It's been a tough week what with my father falling over and breaking his hip and then the hip replacement surgery.
To top it off work has been a particularly busy this week and some large scale deliverables needing to be completed.
I have also officially started at the gym with my new trainer who is going to try and kill me (or something like that).
When my arms recover from my workout yesterday I may type more!
Twitter wil no longer send out sms's
In a suprise announcement Twitter has announced that unless you live in the US they will no longer be sending out twitter via sms.
But the time has come for monetising the service and they can't keep on paying the price.
It won't affect sending a twitter to update twitter followers, website, blogs and facebook like I do, but it will be interesting to see whether Twitter now contracts down as people use things like shozu instead!
I like Twitter and for me personally I use the iphone app and my own api on my desktop more than I use anything else.

Away for the weekend
We are away in Melbourne for the weekend with a whole lot of friends all coming together to go see Wicked the Musical on Saturday night and then party the weekend away.
Apart from the fact that I have so much work on at the moment and I am relatively stressed out, it's nice to be working somewhere different.
It's even nicer that the hotel we are staying has one of my favorite artists works hanging on the walls, David Larwill.
Nice work huh!
I am so looking forward to the down time once I have stopped this work!
What the?
I think this is quite possibly the most ridiculous thing I have ever come across!

Diagnose your mental health with music!
Pick your angst - rap, metal or trance
DOCTORS should ask their teenage patients what type of music they prefer to determine if they are at risk of developing a mental illness or committing suicide, researchers say.
A study, published in today's Australasian Psychiatry journal, found that teens who listen to pop music are more likely to be struggling with their sexuality, those tuning in to rap or heavy metal could be having unprotected sex and drink-driving, and those who favour jazz are usually misfits and loners, prompting a call for doctors to include musical tastes as a diagnostic indicator in mental health assessments.
"There is no evidence to suggest that the type of music you listen to will cause you to commit suicide, but those who are vulnerable and at risk of committing suicide may be listening to certain types of music," the author of the study, Felicity Baker, said yesterday.
She said an Australian study of year 10 students had shown significant associations between heavy metal music and suicide ideation, depression, delinquency and drug-taking, while an American study had also shown that young adults who regularly listened to heavy metal had a higher preoccupation with suicide and higher levels of depression than their peers.
Deliberate self-harm and attempted suicide was also associated with teenagers who listened to trance, techno, heavy metal and medieval music as part of the goth subculture, while those who attended dance parties were much more likely than their peers to be taking drugs.
Some genres of rap music, such as French rap, were linked to more deviant behaviours including theft, violence and drug use, while teens listening to hip-hop were usually less troublesome, Dr Baker said.
Michael Bowden, a child psychiatrist and the head of medical programs at the NSW Institute of Psychiatry, said most doctors already questioned teen patients about their influences from peers, the internet and music.
"The key to understanding any teenager is to treat them with respect by listening to what they have to say, rather than typecasting them according to the type of music they listen to," he said.

And this is why I don't travel on a bus!
Traveller beheads fellow bus passenger
A passenger travelling across Canada's Western plains on a bus stabbed, gutted and decapitated a man seated next to him, and then taunted police with the head, a witness told media.
The victim, believed to be 18-years=old, had been sleeping with headphones on his ears before he was repeatedly stabbed in the chest by the man with a "big Rambo knife", witness Garnet Caton told public broadcaster CBC.
The other 35 passengers and the driver were jolted by "blood-curdling screams" and fled, bracing the door on their way out to trap the assailant inside the bus.
"He must have stabbed him 50 times or 60 times," said Caton.
When Caton and two others returned to check on the victim, he said they saw the attacker "cutting the guy's head off and gutting him".
"While we were watching ... he calmly walked up to the front (of the bus) with the head in his hand and the knife and just calmly stared at us and dropped the head right in front of us."
"There was no rage in him and he wasn't swearing or cursing or anything, it was just like he was a robot or something."
Moments later, police surrounded the bus and arrested the man after a nearly three-hour standoff, he said. "He was taunting police with the head in his hand out the window," said Caton.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said they were investigating a "major incident" that occurred at 9pm Wednesday (1200 AEST Thursday) on a Greyhound bus travelling eastbound from Edmonton to Winnipeg, but offered no details.
Public Safety Minister Stockwell Day called the attack "horrific".
